Amy
I joined the staff in February of 2002. I have loved animals since I was very young. I also grew up helping with the cattle, horses, and dogs on my family’s ranch. I enjoyed competing in local horse shows, horse 4-H programs, and shooting sports programs. Becoming a Veterinary Technician combines my love for animals and veterinary medicine in to my dream job. When I was 16, I lost my yearling quarter horse at OSU Vet Hospital during colic surgery.. At that point, I knew I wanted to pursue a career as a veterinary technician.
My goal with every patient visit is to give every patient the best medical care possible. I treat each patient like they are my own. I have four pets and they include a female black lab, a male shepherd mix that I am fostering, a female domestic short hair tuxedo cat, and a male domestic long hair orange tabby. The philosophy that I live by is to always keep learning as much as I can.
Angelique
Angelique is a Certified Veterinary Technician; licensed in Oregon and California and has been working in the veterinary field for 14 years. She was born and raised in California and moved to Klamath Falls in 2018. Angelique has had an immense passion for all animals and science her whole life and is always looking to further her knowledge. She prides herself on her compassion for patients and clients and aims to make every visit as pleasant as possible. As many technicians tend to do, she and her husband have acquired more animals than intended but they are their children and are loved and spoiled. Angelique’s words to live by: “Treat every animal as if they were your own” and she does just that.
Sidney
Sid entered the veterinary field because he had an interest in both medicine and animals. He tries to make every visit to the office more of an enjoyable experience for every pet. Sid believes that if the patient is less stressed, then so is the owner. He has been employed with West Ridge Animal Hospital since 2018. Sid worked as a Veterinary Technician in the Portland area before coming to Klamath Falls. Sid owns four dogs and three cats.

Amanda M.
Amanda has been with us since February of 2021. She has experience working in the veterinary field for the past five years and has special interests and knowledge in working with exotics and emergency and critical care. She enjoys making a positive difference in the lives of not only the animals but their owners as well.
Outside of work, Amanda enjoys exploring the outdoors, kayaking, crafting, working on her Etsy business, and taking care of her many plants. She also loves spending time with her two chinchillas, Ollie and Maya.

Randi
I have always loved animals, but being in the veterinary field never crossed my mind until my own dog ended up in a veterinary hospital on an emergency visit. It was then that I knew I wanted to be in the veterinary field. I started working here in September of 2010 after moving from the Bend area and have been a veterinary technician for most of that time. My goal with every patient visit is to make the pet and the owner as comfortable as possible. I enjoy getting to know our clients and their pet(s). I also love educating our clients on how they can provide a healthy life for their cat or dog. My family consists of my husband, four cats, and three dogs and I run a registered herd of show cattle.
Sandi
Sandi is one awesome person! She is a huge help around the hospitals because she can do just about everything. She has been a Veterinary Technician for 17 years. She has experience with large and small animals. She is currently helping us with accounts receivable and helping the office run smoothly. She also can be found assisting doctors with procedures on a regular basis. She is happily married with two kids and a small farm.
Amanda W.
I grew up with animals. Chickens, donkeys, pigs, cats, dogs, and birds. I was in 4-H when I was younger. I have always had a love and passion for animals. On the hardest day, an animal can bring a smile to my face. I currently work as a Kennel Technician, Receptionist, Veterinary Assistant, and am the Manager of the Crematorium. My goal is to make sure the patient is treated with love and companionship, make sure they leave with all their needs met, and know the customer was satisfied with the service given.
I’m a mother to a 9-year-old boy. I have three dogs and two cats, which were all rescues. The philosophy that I live by is always to take in every moment, good or bad. Make sure to listen to stories told by your family and friends, even if you have heard them a million times because one day you won’t get those moments back.

I love animals. They’re fluffy! I started working here in August of 2014, but I have been working as a receptionist in the veterinary field since 2005. My goal with every patient visit is to make sure all concerns have been addressed. My family is made up of three kids, two dogs, and three cats.

Blanche is new to the staff as of August 2021. She retired from Walmart. Her favorite things are being a mom, grandma, and a good friend. Nothing is more important to her than her family, and West Ridge has become a part of that. She is a Kennel Technician that is lucky enough to love and care for your pets while boarding.
Dr. Erin Byrne
Veterinarian
Dr. Erin Byrne grew up in Michigan and was lucky to move to the beautiful state of Oregon prior to starting high school. Like many of her colleagues, Dr. Erin aspired to be a veterinarian from a young age. This left her to pursue a bachelor’s degree in animal sciences with a pre-veterinary medicine option and minor in Spanish, graduating from Oregon State University in 2016. During her time in undergraduate education, Dr. Erin worked at the Oregon Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory at OSU’s College of Veterinary Medicine in the necropsy laboratory. She also worked at a research feedlot where she helped take care of the sheep and cattle at the facility and performed food trials to help better understand digestion and health in these species. Dr. Erin received her DVM from Oregon State University’s Carlson College of Veterinary Medicine in 2020. During veterinary school, Dr. Erin spent much of her time with community outreach and education events to help the local community with veterinary education, including topics such as CPR for pets. Outside of the field of veterinary medicine, Dr. Erin enjoys hiking, camping, and relaxing nights watching movies. She is very excited to join the East and West Ridge family and help the community of Klamath Falls to keep their furry family members happy and healthy.
Dr. Doug McInnis
Veterinarian
Dr. McInnis grew up with animals on their small family farm; it was there that he discovered a love for helping animals and decided to pursue a veterinary career. He earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Oregon and Washington State Universities. After graduating, Dr. McInnis became incredibly active in organized veterinary medicine locally, statewide, and nationally.
He is a past president of the Klamath and Lake Counties Veterinary Medical Association, past president and board member of the Oregon Veterinary Medical Association. Currently, he serves as the Oregon Delegate to the American Veterinary Medical Association House of Delegates. He is a past member of the American Veterinary Medical Association Foundation and is currently a member of their Advisory Board. Dr. McInnis is a member of the Rotary Club of Klamath County where he has held roles as Treasurer, President, and served on the Board of Directors. He is also the past president of the Klamath County Rotary Club Foundation. Dr. McInnis is currently serving his community as a member of the Sky Lakes Medical Center Board of Directors, a member of the Sky Lakes Medical Center Foundation Board, and a board member of Klamath County CASA (Child Abuse Special Advocates).
Dr. McInnis is dedicated to his profession and often fosters that dedication for high school students and youth interested in veterinary medicine. He encourages his veterinary hospital staff to pursue continuing education and career advancement while providing preceptorships to students in the veterinary field. Dr. McInnis serves on two local scholarship committees: The Rotary Foundation Scholarship Committee and the Merle and Emma West Scholarship Committee.
Dr. McInnis is a great animal advocate and has served the Klamath Humane Society on the Board of Directors and has held the role of Vice President. Dr. McInnis continues to support the efforts of the Humane Society, donating many services and providing assistance to the shelter and its animals.

Carolyn Whitaker
Veterinarian
Dr. Whitaker earned her D.V.M. in 2002 from the University of California, Davis College of Veterinary Medicine. Since graduation, Dr. Whitaker has been in Klamath County and joined East Ridge in October of 2006. When Dr. Whitaker is not working, she is with her husband and two daughters at their home in Bonanza, where they raise Boer meat goats. Dr. Whitaker stays busy with her daughters’ sports and showing activities and is one of the Goat Superintendents for the Klamath County Fair.
Dr. Marcie Keener
Veterinarian
Dr. Keener has been involved in veterinary medicine for over 30 years. She began her career as a kennel worker at Brant-Hill Veterinary Hospital, which is now East Ridge, in 1988. She obtained her degree and license as a veterinary technician in 1991. In 1995 Marcie returned to Klamath Falls to be near family and in 2000, Marcie became part of the West Ridge crew as a Technician. She returned to school and obtained her Doctorate in 2009 and has been an anchor Veterinarian at East Ridge since that time. Dr. Keener has one grown daughter, one granddaughter, and many dogs and cats. She enjoys woodworking, crafting from reclaimed wood, and spending time in the great outdoors in her off time.
